The Prestige Beverage Group is a locally privately owned distributor of premium wine, spirits and beer.

The Prestige Beverage Group services licensed On –Premise and Off-Premise Accounts in Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.

Prestige Beverage was formed in November 2009 and is headed up by managing Partners Mr. Joey Smith and Mr. Bill Burrill.  The Company today employs 30 Associates.

“The vision of Prestige Beverage is to establish long term relationships with our suppliers and customers to create a world class beverage company.” 

Joey Smith -has been around the wholesale wine and spirits business his entire life. His family started Reliable Liquors which in 2001 merged with the Charmer Sunbelt organization. Having always wanted to be in the wine and spirits industry, Joey believed that there was a tremendous opportunity to create a boutique wine company that would greatly service the needs of our suppliers.

Bill Burrill– has been in the industry for 35 years. Bill has worked on the supplier side with Gallo and St. Pauli Girl and also spent many years running the sales and management of many successful wholesalers. Bill realized the opportunity to create a Mid-Atlantic company that would service retailers in all 3 markets and greatly benefit our supplier partners.

Alex Thompson (Chief Operating Officer)- joins Prestige Beverage after ten years of operations experience in the sports industry and two years in the private legal sector. An attorney licensed in Maryland, Alex specialized in consumer protection law while in private practice. He played a key role in the establishment of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League in 2005 and managed its operations through the 2011 season.

Marc Kalma (Director of Sales & Marketing)– started his career with the Joseph E Seagram & Sons and gained tremendous insight into the marketing of many of the leading brands being sold today. Most recently Marc was Trade Development Manager for Washington Wholesale, a member of the Charmer Sunbelt organization. Marc has strong relationships with many retailers and brings 35+ years of management experience to Prestige
